Growing organizing power and leaders
Youth Centered Leadership Development
Rogue Action Center staff work across our programs to develop leaders who are ready to organize, center joy and build community. We train and support rural and youth leaders to organize within their communities for a stronger inter-generational movement for our collective liberation.
Community Organizing Internship Program
In Partnership with Rogue Climate, RAC co-hosts bi-annual internship programs for youth to become empowered to take action within their communities.
We support youth leaders (ages 14-30) to strengthen their organizing skills with environmental and social justice frameworks. Interns get hands-on experience and develop skills by doing the work throughout the 9-week cohorts.
What we've done!

LULI
In partnership with 1000 Friends of Oregon, RAC has co-hosted several Land Use Leadership Initiative (LULI) cohorts that mentored community leaders on Oregon's land use system and how it shapes communities' most pressing decisions about land development and use.
Youth Artivism
Interns work with RAC staff to create works of art and activism, artivism is the use of creative and artistic methods of expression to denounce, cultivate awareness, and motivate change in society. Inspiring action and offering unique perspectives on living in Southern Oregon.
Fellowships
Fellows have worked with Rogue Action Center to lead important community organizing and campaigns through Jackson and Josephine Counties. Including The IAffirm Coalition, Transportation Leadership cohort and Illinois Valley Pride.
