Southern Oregon’s community-based organizations are the backbone of our ability to stay, thrive and fight for this place. Rogue Action Center’s legacy continues through the abundance of organizing and services our partners continue to provide. Below is a non-exclusive list of community resources that have been such strong leaders for our people.

Youth

Rogue Climate 

Empowering Southern Oregon communities most impacted by climate change, including low-income, rural, youth, seniors, and communities of color, to win climate justice by organizing for clean energy, sustainable jobs, and a healthy environment.

Basic Needs, Street Outreach, Family Advocacy, Case Management, Positive Youth Development, Permanent Supportive Housing

Project Youth+

​Preparing low-income, first-generation, and under-represented youth to thrive in school, careers and life. We use resiliency development strategies personalized to meet the strengths, preferences, and challenges of each individual.

Talent Maker City

working to build a more connected, prosperous, and resilient community through hands-on creativity and innovative STEAM-based learning.

Unite Oregon

Focused on six issues (Climate Justice, Housing Justice, Community Safety, Education Equity, Economic Justice and Health Equity) that impact all Oregonians, but especially our communities. We work to ensure that our community voice is heard at the tables where decisions are made.

Youth Era - The Medford Drop

Staffed by peer support specialists who are committed to helping young adults empower themselves and successfully transition into adulthood. Programs and services help youth/young adults become leaders in their own lives and communities. Providing opportunities to build leadership and advocacy skills through team-based learning and activities.

Basic Rights Oregon

Working to ensure that all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit, intersex, and asexual Oregonians experience equality by building a broad and inclusive politically powerful movement, shifting public opinion, and achieving policy victories.

Unete

​Organizing the farm workers and Latino immigrants in the Rogue Valley; Educating the farm workers and Latino immigrants to advocate for themselves by offering leadership training and building leadership capacity; Building a strong immigrant’s rights movement; Building community support for farm worker and Latino issues; and Build appreciation and understanding of Latino and indigenous American cultures and tradition

Fair Housing Council of Oregon

a statewide civil rights organization that proactively promotes housing justice, equity, and inclusion.

1000 Friends of Oregon

Organization that advocates for land-use planning. Promoting healthy working lands, great communities, shared prosperity, and a strong democracy with and for all Oregonians.

SoHealthE 

the Southern Oregon Regional Health Equity Coalition, one of several regional equity coalitions around the state supported by the Oregon Health Authority's Office of Equity and Inclusion. Our region includes Jackson and Josephine Counties.

DISASTER RELIEF / MUTUAL AID

Jackson County Community Long-term Recovery Group 

Building on the lessons of recovery to weave an equitable, inclusive, and responsive disaster services network through collaboration, convening, and advocacy.

Judi’s Midnight Dinner

a volunteer-run project bringing a heated pop-up tent, food, and hot drinks to folks around the Rogue Valley, Oregon. At its heart, Judi’s is a community space where everyone is welcome. 

Bear Creek Social Center 

low barrier mutual aid social center located in southern Oregon - a safe & inclusive space for everyone! 

Rogue Food Unites

Free Farmers Markets, provide stable support extending beyond the immediate recovery process to meet the growing and persistent food insecurity affecting our communities

Stabbin’ Wagon 

Offering full-spectrum, low-barrier harm reduction supplies & overdose prevention in Jackson County.

Access

We provide vital services and resources to families, individuals, children, seniors, Veterans, and people with disabilities so they can live healthy, stable lives.
